STIM - Strategic and Tactical Incident Management
The work that the Environment Agency does is perhaps most publicly visible during incidents. It is therefore vital that incidents are dealt with effectively.
Environment Agency staff may be required to deal with a given incident at one of three levels; The operational Level (staff on the ground dealing first hand with the incident, the Tactical Level (staff who plan and coordinate the incident response) and the Strategic Level (staff who, depending on the scale of the incident may liaise with Government departments and other national bodies).
The Environment Agency needed a course that would effectively equip staff with a working knowledge of The environment Agency's role in Incident Management. The course had to cover the key concepts of Incident Management and decision making at a tactical and strategic level and comprehensively cover the many types of incident that may be encountered.
During each scenario the learner is required to engage with the incident event, interact with the key players and at critical stages, consider what information is relevant, and what decisions should be made to manage the environmental risk.
Can Studios are happy to have been able to meet the client's needs entirely by successfully producing the many engaging, complex interactions and by once again, proving that a complex subject such as this can be delivered effectively via e-learning.
